Oster Professional blades are produced from the finest light carbon steel and handcrafted to our rigoorous standards, providing unparalled precision and perfomance. Furthermore, our U.S. made blades are hardened to RC62-66 (Rockwell scale C) in house prior to receiving a cryogenic treatment which further enhances the hardening process. The blade cutting surfaces are then sharpened, finished and tested with proven Oster proprietary processes, ensuring ultra sharp blades that continue to stand the test of time. AgION Antimicrobial: Only blade in the industry protected by antimicrobial coating against a broad range of bacteria Blades are cryogenically treated for additional wear resistance *N.B. Oster blades come coated with a factory fat to prevent rusting during transportation. You need to use Blade Wash to take off the fat. During clipping blades get hot due to friction, you need coolube to lubricant and cool your blades.
